This quiz will test your ability of accurately estimating the TAD on fluoroscopic images.
The tip-apex distance, is the sum of the distance from the tip of the lag screw to the apex of the femoral
head on an anteroposterior radiograph and this distance on a lateral radiograph, after controlling for magnification.
TAD = AP distance from wire to apex + Lateral distance from wire to apex
The wire diameter in all fluoroscopic images is 3.1 mm.
