In this monochrome maze of madness, you play as the protagonist, Gray. Gray is an average teen with... less than average looks and even less than that average grades in school. He doesn't matter to anyone. Not a single soul would remember him if he died. How unfortunate. But luckily for Gray here, he has an imagination unlike anyone. He dreams of dark and gloomy worlds, but hopes with all his heart that HE would be the one to save them. One day, he stays up all night writing in his journal, then decides to finally go to sleep so that when the next day arrives, he can at least be somewhat glad he woke up to see it.
