ust pick based off looks/general vibe. Smash doesn't necessarily mean smash in the traditional sense, it could mean kissing, it could mean holding hands, just anything positive. If you hate both well then sucks to suck, pick the one you hate the least. It's mostly based off relationship but you can interpret it however you want. Also if the character is underage at any point in the series then assume it is them when they are of age! (Ex: Light is 17 at the start of Death Note but is in his early 20s at the end)
