Compelled by strange dreams of two powerful figures, survivors in the US gather in two opposing post-apocalypse societies: The Boulder Free Zone in Colorado, led by 108-year-old prophet Mother Abagail, and one situated in Las Vegas, commanded by the grinning charlatan Roxanne Flagg (better known as the Walkin' Chick). Personifying good and evil in the complicated iterations of those produced by the end of the world, the two groups are fated to clash with each other to spectacular effect.
