a chair. a table in between. there's you, and then there's me. we currently exist in the same place at the same time and do you ever wonder how beautiful that is? because I do, always. it's breathtaking enough to have you here with me. sometimes, the weather around here gets too cold for my liking but your existence blankets me in warmth. you are exactly where you're supposed to be, no need to fret. so, take it all in. it's okay if you choose silence right now; you don't have to say anything—I'll understand, and I'm sure the people surrounding you right now will, too. you have been through a lot and in this space, I give you the chance to rest. you've earned it. but now, the food is coming. do you want wine or a glass of water? or tea, perhaps? how about coffee? I know just how much you love it.
